Remote Access : Library Resources
Accessing Library Resources Remotely
The UC Davis University Library licenses Internet accessible digital resources, such as full-text journal articles and indexing services, for use by UC Davis faculty, staff, and students. Often the producers of such information restrict use to the university's networks. Anyone connecting to the Internet from a non-UC Davis network (e.g. AOL, Earthlink, DSL provider) has been unable to access this restricted material. You can configure your browser to use the proxy service to access library resources (see instructions at http://old.lib.ucdavis.edu/info/computers/proxy/). You must have and use a UCD Login ID and password to use proxy services.
If you have questions, please consult with a UC Davis General Library reference librarian, staff at any of the library's reference desks, or send an email using the form at http://libcf.ucdavis.edu/reference/proxy/.
Once you have set up your computer to use the library proxy service, you may login to the proxy service at this link: http://www.lib.ucdavis.edu/ul/services/connect/
